Almost the shortest day of the year.

Right now the sun is setting almost directly to the south. In six months it will set almost directly to the north. We only have about 6.5 hours of daylight now, with things starting to get dark by three and not light until after eight am. It is a long winter this far north. But when the sun comes out, it is glorious.
