This is the Enchantment Lakes. It's the kind of amazing place that is so stunning the Feds have now resorted to a permit system to allow access. The trail will kill ya. Switch backs. Tons of them.
And when you emerge, this is what you find, locked deeply into the Stuart Range.
Paradise.
My first scaling of this trail was when I was 7 years old.
I have been back many times since.
Because, sweet dreams are made of this.
