Full Moon Rising.

It’s Who you know.

~By the usual suspect.

I’m dropping names

Watchin’ as they hit the floor

Egg yolk yellow

Shells on the half shell

Cracked, brittle and emancipated

I’m dropping names

On the wall

Waiting for the echo

Tell me I’m somebody now

The door man’s nod---Jaded, seen it all

I’m dropping names

Like morgue parts

Remembering what they used to look like

Before they landed on a quilt panel

Sirens in a meat rack---Like a half washed photograph

I’m not sure about your partner

I’m not sure about his name

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him

But if I had, he’d look the same

I’m dropping names from a canyon

Rapids and whitewater below

I’m dropping names from a side car

Letting the wind take ‘em home

I’m dropping names from a Eulogy

Remembering a wedding vow

I’m dropping names from a memory

I’m not remembering last call

I’m dropping names cus I have to

Cus it’s too damn late to stop now.
