Blogger. Interrupted.

This image comes to you via a porta potti midway along the San Juan Skyway in Colorado. Beauty is everywhere. It is up to us to find it.

Now why a guy like me carries a camera...everywhere-including into the restroom, is probably a bit of an obsession with beauty-always waiting on some unexpected moment. Waiting on that ordinary something that I've seen a thousand times before, that under the right light, the right shadow, the right mood-becomes magical.

Of course there is often a lot of waiting and expectation, hoping for inspiration. And for every shot I like, there are a thousand that I don't.

Speaking of waiting, especially with this blog, if you've noticed, it is barely coming to you at all.

As with all good stories, especially those delayed, I can explain.

I've had major computer issues. Add to this problems with Verizon and with my wifi card. My computer is on its last legs...if I can just get it to last through the end of the month.....and then this one, this loyal companion, I think is about done...

School, work, and additional head injury related medical tests dominate my calendar. I have had to make six round trips to Seattle since May. That's nearly a 1000 miles a trek. The delays getting over the passes and just getting out of Idaho have been significant.

September should be a bit slower as I rush to get work in to school that was due Spring Quarter. Then October begins another round of hospitals and doctors.

In November I am presenting at the APHA convention in Philly.

Then home for snow season.

I am going to post an image a day from these last few months. To make up for being so bad.

Also the hats are done...and as soon as I find out who won, I will send ya an email.

Thanks for sticking it out with me...

Tim, welcome back on, hope all is clear in your head (in more ways than one) and know you are missed when you don't blog.
That's a pretty pix from a rest area window. Never can tell what kind of beauty you will find in those places... ;-)

Glad to hear from you! I am wearing the necklace every day to teach my writing class.

That is, indeed, a beautiful image. Thanks for the reminder that beauty is to be found everywhere. Remembering that, and looking for it, and finding it, go a long way to keep our "quantum frequency" high and thus our hearts in the Love and Light Zone.
