Anne Lamott was so happy when she came to Spokane last month. God bless her for being right and concerned and willing to piss off all the other Christians when she said George Bush was evil.
I mean we've seen the stolen elections, the sell off of federal agency after federal agency, the complete corruption of the Justice Department, the Department of Defense, and the Supreme Court. We have seen the executive branch piss on the constitution until we are the laughing stock of the world. We've seen that lofty Federal Budget Surplus downsized and outsourced into all the Presidents Follies.
I kinda shut up about it for awhile because the fall out from the greatest corruption story in our nation's history is so massive it's difficult to keep up with...
But for the really brave Americans, those who said so, even when it wasn't cool, that we'd turned toward the darkness, and those few who always knew this Bush guy was Bushwhacking all the rest of us...and trading on and trading in all that Americans stand for. As if those ideals were a clunker to be sold off wholesale at an auction. That our ethics could be improved on through an ownership society where the richest own damn near everything. Bush has pissed on what America should always stand for...equal opportunity, hard work, and blind justice.
Yet God still loves us...Enough that we will survive this great misfortune.

Just look at all the Karma coming down. Look at the all the Republicans ducking for cover these days.
Who woulda, coulda, thought that just in these last few happy months all this wonderful implosion might happen...that we'd live to see the greatest humiliation of one of the world's most horrible families.
Its good for the country, this gnashing of elephant teeth. Just as Watergate reminded us of what we are not, the Republicans will struggle for decades to lose the stench of neo con political leanings that cover them.
It's mostly Republicans up for re election in the next Senate races. Most of them are terrified.
Again, Praise the Lord!

~The President's plan to turn the highways of the US into foreign owned tollways has been seriously crushed. Even Texans said "Hell No! We Won't Toll" to the secret plans to import all of Mexico via Texas/Oklahoma/Kansas into North America.
~The Plan to open US/Canadian Highways to Mexican Carriers has been halted. Which means all those drug cartels will not have unbridled access to Route 66. Guess we'll have to keep getting our kicks the old fashioned way. Horsepower baby.
~Amnesty is dead on the vine for all that cheap, exploited labor all the presidents men wanted to import.
~No Child Left Behind-well it turns out that little venture left most children in the dust. Guess that's what happens when you fund something with air. Nothing worse than a bunch of angry mothers who've just realized that their kids aren't getting squat for education. Long live the memory of the soccer moms!
~Rush Limbaugh, James Dobson, and Newt are so Left Behind-and not coming to a bookstore near you.
~Tony Blair has been forced out of his pretty role as GW's Sling Boy. In the process there goes his last straw of legacy with the EU.
~More scandals are to come. The White Houses monkeying with the elections of this nation through the US Attorney's Office, the For Sale By President selling off of our most cherished institutions, and the complete fraud that Faith Based Politics has become- guess if he could, that liar Falwell would be rolling over in his grave.
One wonders as George W Bush faces all the bad news- will he repeat his swan song performance from his military days? Maybe do us all a favor and go AWOL?
Or will he just keep on grinning that dumb wanna be bubba grin, that faked out Ivy League Good Old Boy Act? Standing there all yucking it up as one by one the pillars of his "administration" crumble around him.
Let's hope for the country's sake- he just goes AWOL.
