Grandfather Sets Loose The Ponies

One of the things I really like about Washington State is that many of our most treasured pieces of art exist in open space, accessible to the public. This is a favorite, set above I-90 near Vantage, Washington on the Columbia River. Other works include "The Hammering Man" in front of the Seattle Art Museum, "Waiting for the Interurban" in Freemont, and the giant "Radio Flyer" Slide in Spokane's River Front Park.

Kevin and I are will be passing this statue today...

What towns are on the Oregon side? My oldest brother kinda lives in Hood River as a windsurfing bum. I hear tell the topography of the Columbia river bottom changed this year due to massive flood surging and riverbottom deposition.
