A White Trash Christmas Village...

Nope, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. That's an authentic Wal*Mart Truck idling behind the "Long Haul Truck Stop"-which also serves as the focal point of my mom's "Totally White Trash Christmas Experience".

Can you feel the jingle jingle and ho ho ho?

Click on any of the pictures to view the complete scene-viewed as large as you can stand...

Also below are some shots of my folk's "formal tree". The nine foot tall affair that always gets the blanketing of the "good" ornaments. In a few days, I'll get some shots up of the not so formal tree-the one boasting all of the family's handmade ornaments.

In the spirit of all things bah humbug I'll be posting holiday stuff over the next few days, as sarcastically as I can, because I certainly don't want to overwhelm anyone or be responsible for their Christmas Cheer "peaking" too soon.

While I was over in Seattle, I had the pleasure of assisting in the construction of three Christmas Villages, three artificial Christmas Trees, and I helped electrocute thousands of plants through the lighting of two yards. I also, while delicately positioned on stairways, ladders, and my sanity, laid 36.7 miles of various garlands. Weighted down, I might add, with 4,156 lbs of lights, pinecombs, and other assorted crap.

If you were to speculate that my Christmas Spirit might already have "peaked" you wouldn't be too far off...

Oh and the kicker?

No sooner did I arrive back in Pend Oreille County than a 100 year storm tore through my parent's and sister's place. Tonight marks mom and dad's third night without power...

Oh how dark the yard and Christmas Trees and Christmas Villages now stand...

Hope these shots get you in the mood...for something... Posted by Picasa
