So there's been this janitors strike in Houston....
People complaining about wages, health care, etc.
They went on strike. They held a direction action in the middle of the streets to get the attention of the public about their low wages...the monopolies they battled...
The cops were called...and then it really got ugly. Four people were injured so bad they had to be taken to the hospital...
Over 40 people were arrested for participating in the protests. Their bail was set at $880,000 each.
People charged with murder have their bail set at a fraction of that amount...but people who are engaging in their constitutionally protected right to assemble, protest, and engage in free speech face a bail like this?
Not exactly cool...
