Dolly Parton Travelin' Through Live
Speaking of journeys...A reader chimes in here:
Oh my gosh!.... I should ask you what journey it is that you have undertaken (being the mystic that I am....), but when one can find solace in that which is present, and not desire anything at all, then there is beauty everywhere....
What seems like a de-railment, can, sometimes, be the event that puts us on a different track to that which we were once travelling; but paradoxically, in the direction where we were to go. I always like the line from Auntie Mame, about life being a banquet, and that most people are starving. I often think there is an art to living and enjoying all that life has to offer. Should I dare to suggest that you have found the banquet?
I learned long ago, that to take delight in the seemingly simple things, like the passing of the shadows over the ground, that there was much to be discovered in which I could find amazement, and delight. Each day presents small changes that can be seen--if we are willing to bring our attention to them.
